Some neighboring counties also saw jobless rates higher than they were a year earlier. Gallatin County rose from 8.7 to 9.4 percent, Saline County from 9.1 to 9.3 percent, Edwards County from 7.6 to 8.3 percent and Wabash County from 8.6 to 9.0 percent

But the judge fell from 8.9 to 8.6 percent in Hamilton County and from 8.4 to 8.2 percent in Wayne County.
