Be eager for some big news on the jobs beat over the next week.

First, we’re preparing a story that looks at the move upwards in temporary workers as the job market recovers from the recession.

Economists say temps are the first to be cut when the thriftiness begins to slow and the first to be hired back when companies want to increase forging. We’ve got data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics to back this up. We’ve also talked to some execs at temp agencies, employers who use temps and temp employees to chew out tattle on the story.

That news should tie in with Friday’s release of the April unemployment communiqu for San Diego County. Last month, the county added 2,900 jobs in March and had a 9.5 percent unemployment count.

San Diego County added 6,700 jobs from March 2011 to Stride 2012. It’s much slower growth than economists say is needed to make a existent dent in the unemployment picture. They say the county would need more like 25,000 jobs year-over-year for a big transform.

Ruminate over about the last era a temp appeared in your service, with or without foreshadowing.  How was she (or he) received in the responsibility?  Do you fantasize you treated her (or him) well?  Were you and your colleagues thick and caring?  Do you contrive the temp intention so?  Decently?

I have temped at diverse times, at divers stages in my trade and have worked in some wonderful offices, with some wonderful people who treated me as part of the body from Day One, 0900 hours.  I was sad to flit these places, even when I’d only been there a few days....
