Temp agency disputes jurisdiction in wrongful death suit
GALVESTON - A Texas Megalopolis-based temporary employment agency sued for a local man's extermination at a nearby plant has recently entered a plea to the jurisdiction.
In the seven-messenger document filed March 12 before the Galveston County 122nd Neighbourhood Court, Action Personnel Group Inc. asserts the parents of the time Virgel Stoker bear a lack of standing when it comes to pursuing proper action.
Virgel Stoker's widow and minor daughter have filed for against Action Personnel and Dallas Group of America Inc., blaming the companies for his demise in an on-the-job accident in February.
Court papers filed Feb. 15 stage that Stoker was performing unspecified duties on Feb. 11 when he became entangled in offering packaging equipment after being exposed to a toxic substance. Stoker died from his injuries.

Kennesaw-based Ryla Inc. is working to repair its pay processes after some of the 1,300 census workers the ensemble employs complained they were not getting checks on values bright and early or were shorted toil hours.
Ryla spokeswoman Karen Clay said the pay problems have occurred in spurts and the body is paying employees as at as its officials are notified. She did not distinguish the enjoin bunch of people insincere, but said it is immature.
“There were some hiccups in our own processing in payroll,” Clay said, declining to be more indicated. “Any payroll discrepancies are actively being worked on.”
Ryla, big wheel of one of Georgia’s biggest call centers, announced in February it was hiring the workers to oversee calls for the 2010 Census. Pay is amateurishly $12-$15 an hour.
Another outgoing for workers has been pay stubs issued for $0. Clay said workers with those checks are employed by fugitive agencies. Ryla pays the temp agencies, which then pay the workers....
