Local Republicans pitch plan to create jobs in state
Municipal Republican lawmakers are backing their party’s job creation carton of business tax breaks and streamlined regulations.
Republican legislators unveiled a jobs design at a State House press conference yesterday, detailing a series of proposals aimed at slip business costs in taxes, fees, energy and health protection.
“In the last 10 years, there has been zero job growth in Massachusetts on a net basis. There’s a ratiocinate for that, and it’s not the weather,” said state Rep. Ryan Fattman, R-Sutton. “There’s been a feeling that has allowed these situations to happen: high taxes, high vitality costs, high health care costs.
“This bill is trying to talk to some of these things and concentrate on making things easier for business and getting people back to labour.”
Republicans, who have criticized Gov. Deval Patrick’s job-creation proposals, say their blueprint — called Putting Massachusetts on the Road to Opportunity — would speck a job revival in the state.
