This is my first circumstance working through a staffing agency and I love it. Getting paid weekly a substitute alternatively of bi-weekly is hot. Not having to be fully caught up in office manipulation is cool.

Council considers extending Stanley's contract

The urban district of Topeka’s governing body Tuesday will consider extending the constrict of interim city manager Dan Stanley past its Jan. 31 closing date.

The city Thursday afternoon released the agenda for Tuesday’s assignation.

It includes the contract extension proposal, which calls for Stanley’s employment to end upon the ”commencement of employment of a persistent city manager or April 1, 2012, whichever occurs first. The ceasing date may be extended by mutual agreement.”

Stanley became interim burgh manager after the council this past April reached a severance ahead bringing about the July 1 departure of Norton Bonaparte, who took post as Topeka’s first city manager in March 2006.

The council voted June 28 to decide Stanley as interim city manager, then voted July 26 to approve an employment reduce with Stanley running through Jan. 31.

Stanley, 60, was semiretired when he was hired. He is a former Topeka Metropolis Councilman, Kansas secretary of administration and assistant U.S. secretary of defense.
