It calls for retroactive raises for 2009, 2010 and 2011 of 3 percent, 3 percent and 3.25 percent, individually. There will be no raises in 2012, 2013 and 2014, but a 2.75 percent increase in 2015, the last year of the get.

And more significantly, all county employees who belonged to the Teamsters prior to the understanding ratification will pay 10 percent of their health care costs starting July 1, and 12.5 percent starting Jan. 1, 2015. All employees hired after the deal ratification and all employees who become Teamsters will pay 20 percent of their health responsibility costs from the start of their employment.
