Garden Club to Host Show

The be captured fashion show is being hosted by the Bouquet Garden Club of Winter Haven on Wednesday. There will be two opportunities to sit in on this fundraising event — noon and 6 p.m. Organizers encourage guests to turn up early to enjoy a glass of wine, have conversations with friends and descend upon the silent auction tables, before the show and meal begin.

The Winter Haven Garden Center, 715 Third St. N.W., will be adorned in western décor, as this year's notion is "Boots and Blossoms." Fashions will be provided by Casual Chic of Auburndale and Bealls Count on Store of Winter Haven.

"The Bouquet Garden Club has been doing this for 50-increased by years," said Trudi Kirkland, president of the Bouquet Garden Sisterhood for the 2011-2013 club season.

"Dress as you like, dress to the nines, western or whatever, but make and enjoy. We will have western decorations, wagon wheels, ceramic boots on the tables, hats and sunflowers," Kirkland said. "There will be 109 for lunch and 109 (in being) for dinner.
