Dress question for my office holiday party?

My office has a cocktail/dinner furlough party at a fancy hotel every year and the general attire is anywhere from formal gowns to dwarfish and sexy cocktail dresses.

I've gained a few pounds since last year and am self-concious about the square footage of my arms.

what about a wrap transcribe dress?
i think express has some that have long sleeves.
