How do you get Diesel fuel out of clothes?

My son is in the Marines. While loading some furnishings onto a ship, something popped and he got about 2 1/2 gallons of Diesel Encouragement on his cammies. Between the pants and blouse, each set costs him abut $70, and he would like to try to protect them.
